Billy began performing live in 2003 as a founding member of the critically acclaimed San Francisco power trio Ride the Blinds - a heavy blues band that was compared in the music press to legendary groups such as Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Grand Funk Railroad.
Their self-titled debut album enjoyed radio play across the country and led to west coast and national tours. One noteworthy fan of Ride the Blinds was Punk Pioneer Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, who CHAMPIONED them on his popular radio show “Jonesy’s Jukebox” on Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles. Their music has been featured in television programs on HBO, MTV, VH1 and several other cable networks in the United States and across the world.
Ride the Blinds had a two album, six year initial run and earned a reputation for their trademark and explosive live performances. artists like the Mother Hips, Dickie Peterson (Blue Cheer), Marc Ford (The Black Crowes), Galactic and others invited them to join many memorable gigs. You can still hear RTB today on Pandora, Spotify and on Programs like “Bluesville” on Sirius XM. The band has been on unofficial hiatus for 9 years but reunites on occasion for sold out shows that draw fans old and new. (RTB ON SPOTIFY HERE)

In this capacity, he has shared Bills with Ronnie Spector, Phil Lesh, Chuck Prophet, The English Beat, The James Hunter Six, and many more.
In 2012, he stepped out front to lead his own group called “Billy Cramer and Share the Land” which was a power pop/pub rock band he named after A favorite song. This group recorded a Seven inch Single and gigged throughout Northern California.
